Interactive Storytelling Experience with Cory Rosen
Join Cory Rosen (Host of The Moth) for an immersive workshop that bridges the gap between structured narrative and spontaneous play. This session takes place using our brand new exhibit, Catskills Romance: Love and Desire, as a backdrop.
While the setting is romantic, your stories don’t have to be. This experience is designed to teach participants how to make a great story out of any event. Using core tools of improv like listening, specificity, and emotional commitment, you will learn how to turn any life moment into a powerful narrative that feels both alive and well-told.
Through interactive exercises and supportive feedback, participants will learn how to:
Generate Ideas: Discover strong story premises from everyday life.
Master Structure: Shape a clear beginning, middle, and end without losing spontaneity.
Stay Present: Use improv instincts to remain flexible and authentic while telling a story.
Heighten Stakes: Find the turning point, amplify emotional beats, and land a resonant ending.
Adapt Anywhere: Bring narrative clarity and confidence to professional settings, toasts, auditions, and personal milestones.
Walk away with one honed story and the mastery to turn every future encounter into an unforgettable tale.
